Deer, snakes, and mice

For a lunchtime run I was surprised to see as many creatures as I did last Wednesday. I ran across, and jumped over, a large garter snake on the Iron Horse trail, nearly squished a mouse or vole, and to finish off a young buck with velvet covered antler nubs sauntered out of the bushes directly in front of me. It was a good wildlife day!
