| This is a fun little loop that's got a bit of
rocky, rooty, often muddy singletrack. From the little parking lot cross
the road and find the gravel Snoqualmie Valley trail. Turn left and follow
this just past the gravel road crossing. Look to your right for a small
path crossing the ditch and stream. Take this path and continue. Stay left
at the first fork (going straight will take you to the shore (?) of
Christmas Lake). Go up this path staying right at any intersecting paths.
After the trail levels out keep your eye's peeled for a path leading off
the the right. It's about .2 miles after the trail levels out. Take that
right and continue through spider webs and mud holes until you intersect
the Iron Horse Trail. If you want to stay with the 2.25 mile run turn
right on the Iron Horse and head down the trail until just past the Cedar
Falls sign where you'll see a trail leading to the right. Take this trail
and you'll end up passing the Iron Horse trailhead parking lot on your way
back to your car. |
