Rattlesnake Ledge Run 4.25 Miles |

| This is the 'bread and butter' trail the area
is known for. Now a 2+ mile wide and fairly smooth trail from Rattlesnake
Lake to the first ledge, it used to be a 1.2 mile grinder of a trail
(until the trail was widened, lengthened, and smoothed a few years back.
The upside to this work is the trail is much more 'runnable' than before -
the downside is the trail is also much more crowded - especially on
weekends.
There are not many real breaks as you head up the hill, but the first mile is a little easier than the last. Make sure you recover a bit before venturing near the rock knob on top! You don't want to be lightheaded and near those drops. |
